When decorating your home, cottage, office or even your outdoors, there are many aspects and endless opportunities. Often you may start with one room and find yourself “expanding” to other areas. Other times, you are ready to take the longer road and give your home a full overhaul. Whatever you do there are elements and a sequential order you should consider.

When decorating a space the two most important aspects to consider are: what is it you are comfortable with and what is the function of that space. These two factors will be your guide for your decorating experience.

Although there are colour and fabric trends, don’t feel that if you don’t like a certain aspect of the current trend - that you are not “in fashion”. It is your home, your space. This is not a fashion show. Besides, we all have our likes and dislikes of certain hues, colour, size and style. These can change with time.
